Education

Dennis completed a doctoral thesis on Organisational Change at the University of Oklahoma, USA and post-doctoral work at Stanford University.

Business experience

Following Dennis's study, he worked in senior management positions at a number of large companies. For example, he implemented Continuous Improvement and Change Management worldwide for the Eastman Kodak Company. Following this, he became General Manager of a $600 million Australian company with 8000 employees. In the first 12 months of Dennis's leadership, the company increased sales by 50% and profit by 30%.

Tennis career

While working and studying in the United States, Dennis played professional tennis, gaining All-American consideration. He also played Linton Cup for Victoria, and was a member of the Australian Junior Davis Cup Team. He is a three times winner of the Kooyong Club Championships (1984, 1994 and 1995).

Financial adviser of the year 2010

Dennis is founder and Executive Chairman of Maddern Private Wealth and Maddern Accounting, boutique independent Melbourne-based firms that offer specialised financial services to highly successful professionals. In 2010, Dennis was named Adviser of the Year by the Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners.
